The EUSCCCIP Project ( European project for the Use of Standards of Competence in CPD for Construction Industry Practitioners) was funded by the European Commission under the Leonardo da Vinci Programme. The partners were drawn from Finland, Ireland, Portugal and the UK. CISC was the main contractor for the project. The project was for two years and was successfully completed in November 1997. EUSCCCIP was followed by a further 3 Leonardo projects:

• CPD Standards Project (CSP) piloted the EUSCCCIP Framework amongst construction and engineering practitioners in Finland, France, Germany, Ireland and UK
• Continuing Proffesional Development In Medecine in Europe (CoProDIME) piloted the EUSCCCIP Framework amongst medical doctors in Germany, Ireland, Italy, Sweden and UK.
• The Pan European Construction and Engineering CPD and Standards (PANCECS) project disseminated the EUSCCCIP Framework widely amongst additional partners in Estonia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Italy, Spain and through FIEC.
